2. Kidz Zone Playland

5. Space Joe Playland

Space Joe is a space-themed cosy playground, where bigger kids can slide, crawl and jump through the main obstacle courses, whilst younger tots stay entertained in a separate designated play zone.  Check out the wall feature near the entrance, with a holed vertical board and colourful rods that will light up when inserted – a great opportunity for open-ended creations and teaching colours to the younger ones. Tables and chairs are also conveniently located next to the toddler space, so parents will be able to work (or simply have a cuppa) whilst keeping an eye on their children from a (relative) distance.

The play area is designed to look and give a feel of being in outer space, as your little astronauts explore the “galaxy” of that is 1 Utama Shopping Mall!

8. 5T3M Pod

Visit this indoor playground at 5T3M, a science and technology academy located within Starling Mall, where kids can enjoy experiential learning in an innovative setting. From energy-generating cycling and futuristic lighting, to virtual reality activities, a classic ball pit slide and rock climbing section, as well as a sketch and scan digital screen, little learners will be kept intrigued and entertained at 5TEM’s Pod.

Do note that prices per entry are inclusive of a workshop and entrance to the Pod (as there is currently no option to purchase a ticket to the playground alone). The STEM workshops are  great for 3 to 15 years old-  encouraging children to become problem-solvers through project-based learning (where the process is more important than the end result!)

This post-apocalyptic-themed indoor park is going to get the whole family’s adrenaline pumping, with more than a dozen unique and exciting activities. Best for older kids, attractions include The Launch Pad, The Maze, Free Fall, Tubby Ride and Roller Glider. With 70,000 square feet of space to explore, this park is definitely worth a drive out to, even for those who live further away.

13. SuperPark

A sports park from Finland offering a smorgasbord of activities, categorised into three main themes to keep family members and friends of different ages and interests entertained. The Adventure Area offers traditional playground equipment, such as tunnels, and tube slides, that are bound to be a hit with every child. Sports lovers will also enjoy having a go at games such as basketball and bowling at the Game Arena, and skaters will be impressed with awesome ramps and rails over at The Freestyle Hall.

18. NextGen Themepark

Launched just three months ago is Malaysia’s largest indoor family edutainment theme park, located on the second floor of a mall that many of us grew up visiting as kids ourselves. The 45,000 square feet integrated space features a Kid’s Playground and Play City where children will get to engage in imaginative play within a bakery, a fire station, a police station and a supermarket.
