Working parents often have a lot to juggle: between getting the kids up and dressed and out the door in the mornings, to arranging meals before dinner, to buying supplies like diapers, fresh produce and more, it really helps to find shortcuts that work.
In the Morning
- Buy a good coffee maker with a time – that way, a fresh cuppa will be ready for you in time every morning.
- Make getting ready a contest for your kids as it plays on their competitive streak. For example, set a timer to see who gets ready first.
During the Day
- Use your lunch break to pick up fresh produce that you’ll need for dinner, and wait until the weekend to do all of your other grocery shopping. Or look into a grocery delivery service, which lets you shop without having to leave your office. Try Presto, Tesco, Redtick, Youbeli, Markaide, GrocerExpress, Doorstep, Food World or MatRuncit.my.
In the Evening
- Have the whole family lay out clothes for the next day. For toddlers who can’t dress themselves, purchase some “lounge wear” that can conveniently transition from evening to day, so only their diaper requires a change in the morning.
On the Weekends
- Keep diapers and wet wipes in baskets around the house so you’re not hauling your little one (and any siblings or pets that tend to tag along) to the changing table 10 times a day.
