As we’re all aware, the haze is back and may last for some days if not weeks more. This has put a cramp on many parents’ plans for outdoor activities like birthday parties, going to the playground or park, or even checking out that fancy new restaurant just for kids.
Yet to stay cooped up in your home is not really an option, at least not for long. Before cabin fever sets in, and before actually stepping outside, parents should try to have the basics ready:
- N95 mask for mommy or daddy, and a suitably sized mask for your child
- water bottle (remember to stay hydrated!)
- hand sanitiser or wet wipes
You should also read up more about the haze and the Air Pollutant Index (API) so you know what quality of air you’re exposing your child to. For more info on what is API, check out Poskod Malaysia’s cheat sheet on the haze.
