Merdeka Day is just around the corner, and it’s the best time to dress up in patriotic colours. So why not get your little one in the mood to celebrate by having fun with making an outfit for them?
All you need is 10 minutes to create this patriotic outfit – it’s that simple!
What You’ll Need:
- A plain baby onesie or toddler t-shirt
- Red, yellow and blue fabric paint
- A pencil
- A small container of water
- Tissue paper
- Few sheets of A4 paper
Step One: Pour a few drops of paint onto two sheets of A4 paper and with your hand in a fist position, press the right hand side of your fist on the paint.
Step Two: Press the painted area of your fist on the upper left chest area of the onesie.
Step Three: Dip your index finger on a drop of yellow paint.
Step Four: Dot in the toes.
Step Five: Use a pencil and dip one side onto a straight line of red paint.
Step Six: Align the pencil along the toes and press down straight red lines onto the onesie.
Step Seven: Sketch out ‘Merdeka’ with a pencil and paint over with your choice of colour.
And there you have it! AÂ personalised Merdeka onesie for your baby!
If your little one has outgrown the onesie, don’t fret! You can always do the same with a t-shirt:
Selamat Hari Merdeka!
