A Membership Club Just For Your Kids?

‘Here’s my membership card, can I redeem an ice-cream please?’

These may be words you hear not from your dessert-loving husband, but your 4-year-old child, speaking confidently to a waiter at a restaurant.

In a bid to encourage kids to feel more independent, and for families to have more choices, there is now the Putra Junior Club for young ones from 4 to 12 years old.

Established by Sunway Putra Mall, the Putra Junior Club is a membership that is completely free and will allow children to enjoy a host of services and privileges crafted especially with them in mind.

Activities Galore

Once your child joins the Putra Junior Club, he or she will receive a welcome kit and membership card that will entitle them to fun activities and events throughout the year. Members also will be able to take advantage of the amazing activities held in Sunway Putra Mall, such as the Putra Junior Adventure which is running from March 9^th  – 25^th. Perfect timing for the upcoming holidays!

What’s in store? There are thrilling bumper cars, motor rides, sand art and a ball pit playground, among many other activities at the Putra Junior Adventure. Ordinarily, the entrance fees are RM10 (for all kiddie rides), RM20 for the playground, and RM5 (Small) and RM8 (Big) for sand art, but the first 200 sign-ups for Putra Junior Club will get to enjoy a whopping 50% off the entrance fee.

All year round, members can also enjoy discounts at The Parenthood Playland, with 5% discount – on top of all current promotions – for walk-ins. If they fancy celebrating their birthdays in a big way at the playland, there is a 10% discount for parties with a minimum spending of RM3,500 and above.

1. Kids’ Favourite Foods

There will be plenty of great privileges and offers upon joining the Putra Junior Club. But the best of these are the attractive discounts to the many restaurants in Sunway Putra Mall, with an emphasis on food kids will particularly like. Remember, the membership card must be presented by the child for the discounts!

• Swensens: Members enjoy a 20% discount when they pre-order a delectable cake one week before their birthday. And a free scoop of ice cream (worth RM9.90) when they order a meal from the Kids Menu.
• Juice Works: Buy one Lychee Cooler Junior (250ml) and get another one free!
• The Chicken Rice Shop: Members will receive a free Little Chick Junior Combo with a minimum purchase of RM50 and above in a single receipt.
• DC Comics Super Heroes Café: There’s a 10% discount on the ala carte menu.
• Eat & Meet: Two kids eat for free when accompanied by two paying adults!
• Sepiring: Members can enjoy one kid’s meal for RM8 (A choice of Mr Cheesy McRoni or Ms Cheeky Chicky Rice) when RM60 has been spent in a single receipt.
• Sunway Putra Hotel: Two kids eat for free when accompanied by two paying adults at the Coffee House and Gen Japanese Restaurant!

2. Cool Hobbies & Interests for Children

It isn’t all just food and playtime for kids – the Putra Junior Club also offers some sweet deals in outlets that cater to their interests. If they are musically-inclined, Swee Lee, Asia’s leading online retailer of musical instruments, will waive their registration fees (RM60) for the enrolment of any music lessons.

If comics are their thing, DC Comics Super Heroes will give members a 10% discount for normal priced items (excluding accessories and limited edition items).

And if they are creative, they may love the air-dry clay creation class or other interesting classes at The Pod, which is offering a 20% discount off classes, workshops and events.

3. Freebies and other deals

Not only will new members receive one free ticket to The Parenthood Playland upon registration to the Putra Junior Club (While stocks last), there are plenty of other goodies in store.

Firstly, there will be free cotton candy giveaways to shoppers from 12pm – 6pm during weekends at Putra Junior Adventure!

The membership also will be useful for children who wear glasses, with an offer at Focus Point for one pair of Totti/Poney frame for RM68 and a 50% discount on storewide frames at MOG.

Ultimately, there will also be invitations to fun activities and events, more deals, and other surprises to thrill members all year long. All members have to do is keep updated via the Sunway Putra Mall website!

Joining up as a member

How can your child become a member of the Putra Junior Club? They can get the membership form from Sunway Putra Mall’s concierge counter, fill in the details and get daddy and mummy’s signature to seal the deal. Once they submit their forms to the counter and present their MyKid, they will officially be a club member.

As the Putra Junior Adventure will be all abuzz from March 9^th – 25^th, children can check out the many activities on offer there, and sign up for the club at the same time. A visit to the mall will also always be a blast, with families able to enjoy the Parenthood Playland – a one-stop parenting hub – and Funscape by Cobay, a delightful interactive games arcade.
