The school holidays are upon us, with many looking forward to quality family time filled with fun activities – or a short #CutiCutiMalaysia getaway for others!
Staying put in the Klang Valley, but looking for some exciting things to do with the kids over the break? We’ve put together a list of the best holiday camps and programmes for kids, happening all this month – so do remember to sign up quickly!
1. Mad about Education School Holiday Programmes
The character-building programmes developed by the Mad About Education (MAE) Group encourage both adults and children to develop different skills sets and understand their unique abilities. Here are some of the terrific camps being planned by them this March:
Survival Skills Camp (under the Adventure Camp Series)
Designed for kids aged 7 years and above, this camp uses the concept of learning through fun outdoor and nature activities that encourage children to learn basic survival skills and independence skills. The kids will learn to care for themselves and develop basic survival skills, such as first aid, learning to start a fire, cooking, and compass reading, amongst other. Participants will also be taught about the importance of teamwork, leadership and critical thinking skills.

Forest Exploration Programme (under the Nature Play Series)
This programme encourages children to participate in science exploration, alongside educating them about the importance of conserving and protecting our natural environment. Over the course of the day, kids will discover the Bukit Kiara Forest Reserve, where they will learn to navigate their way through the forest, and exploring the interesting biodiversity and animal life along the way. From the forest, the children will then hike down to a nearby stream to explore the different types of amphibians. Suitable for kids aged 7 to 12 years old.

Marine Exploration Programme
This one-day Marine Exploration Programme takes kids to explore Port Dickson’s beach, and its diverse ecosystem. The programme will enable kids to learn more about biodiversity, the tidal and weather situation that influences marine life, as well as the impact humans have on the environment. For kids aged 7 to 12 years old.

3. The Big Top by Hush the Theatre KL
Calling all creative kids! Hush the Theatre’s exciting Drama Holiday Programme brings a spectacle of magic tricks, mime, movement, dance, clowning, puppetry, optical illusions, comedy and more, culminating in a professional performance in the form of a Circus Cabaret.

Sunway Putra Mall has been transformed into an indoor nature wonderland, with a 5D Sensory Nature Hub that allows kids to explore the environment using their five senses, and creative activities to keep them entertained.
