Not wanting to dress her 2-year-old daughter in Disney Princess t-shirts and dresses, Afzan Jamalullail decided to start Haute Cuteure, a clothing label for kids with carefully-sourced products imported from overseas.
When asked to describe Haute Cuteure in 3 words, Afzan replied: “black, white, and grey.” Classically chic, the collection is heavily inspired by her own monochrome sense of styling and plays with the three basic colours along with some dusty and pink in the mix.
Going with the idea of introducing simple yet edgy clothing for your little princess, Haute Cuteure is big on the “mommy and me” style where the majority of the pieces can easily match mommy’s outfits. From office wear to night gowns, traditionally adult silhouettes are modified to fit toddlers.
Even though it’s only been around a few months, the responses that Haute Cuteure received has been extremely positive. The team are currently working on in-house designs that will hopefully be released next year.
The Haute Cuteure pieces are priced from RM22 onwards, and can be found on its Instagram page. Reach Afzan at email@example.com or via Whatsapp +60162069434.
