As we come out of yet another cycle of lockdown, we are sure many are still wary of dining in. Safety definitely takes precedence over leisure! While we recognise that it’s still prudent to stay at home, there will be a time when some families might want to consider revisiting a restaurant.
Here are some al fresco restaurants that we have handpicked for your consideration when you feel ready to brave the outside world.
To minimise the risk of eating out, do ensure you and your family follow basic safety rules:
- Make reservations and dine at quieter times. As restaurants are only allowed to accommodate at 50% of their usual capacity, do be on time to allow for a more manageable service.
- Ensure the restaurant provides enough space between tables to practice social distancing.
- Observe proper mask etiquette – put your mask back on when not eating or when visiting the toilets.
- Be respectful. These are challenging times, so let’s remember always to be kind to one another.
Editor’s note:Â All details are correct at the time of publication. However, we would recommend calling ahead of your visit to confirm the SOPs in place.

The pandemic has affected businesses all over the world, and our local F&B sector is not spared. This has caused the livelihood of many Malaysians to be gravely impacted. Even if you are not ready to dine out, do consider supporting local restaurants by ordering takeaways or tapao/bungkus your meals from your neighbourhood stall. Remember: every bit counts. Stay safe, #makchicmumtribe.
