Little-Paper-Crate-Cover

Petaling Jaya-based company Little Paper Crate has just published their first ever arts and crafts book called Little Paper Crate: Crafting Stories. The book is aimed at children aged 4 through 9, and offers ideas and activities to stimulate a child’s inner creativity and curiousity for art.

The authors of the book are the founders of Little Paper Crate: entrepreneur Jacqueline Ng and stay-at-home mom cum designer Eleanor Ng. This book follows the idea behind Little Paper Crate, which is that each project has been tried, tested and enjoyed by parents and children.

The book aims to teach and develop important skills and values, help improve kids’ organisational and crafting skills, and enhance their fine motor skills through projects that require focus and coordination. By following the instructions and completing a project, the authors hope to instill a sense of accomplishment in children.

The projects take an environment- and budget-friendly approach to arts and crafts, and children are encouraged to recycle household materials and other inexpensive items. This not only instills an interest in eco-friendly living in children from a young age, but it also eliminates the time and trouble taken by parents to source for craft materials.

The book is now available at all major bookstores across Malaysia and Singapore at RM 35.90 per copy.

To celebrate the launch of The Little Paper Crate Crafting Stories book, The Playground Borneo will be co-organizing a kids craft session at their store in Publika, Kuala Lumpur from 26 – 27 September, and Poppies, Kuching on 3 October 2015. Book your session here.
