Curious to know how the new Tesco Loves Baby diapers hold up? Michelle Lim-Chua tried them on her active 10-month-old baby, to see if they live up to the international quality the brand is known for.
Price RM14.90 (pack of 28 diapers), RM28 (pack of 80 diapers)
Yay
- Comes in a great travel (or trial) size pack, with just the right number of diapers needed; and for emergencies too.
- Well-designed, soft and flexible enough to fit babies with slightly chubbier thighs perfectly.
- There is a nice extra ‘safety’ layer inside the diaper which helps to hold contents well, and prevent leakage.
Nay
- They are not absorbent enough for overnight use, although the diaper claims to work day and night (but great for active hours, as the diaper allows for moving around easily).
- The diaper feels flimsier than Huggies or Drypers, and has the texture of an eco-friendly diaper (although it isn’t).
Bottom Line
Tesco Loves Baby Ultra Dry Diapers are definitely an affordable alternative to mainstream brands. I did not experience any leaks and was very happy with the value, and what felt like a ‘deal.’ Aesthetically, Tesco’s diapers has a cleaner design than most other brands, which mums like me – who let their babies crawl around in just their diapers at home – will like. I recommend keeping the travel pack size in your car, or using them on your next mini-break getaway, before deciding to get the pack of 80.
