Gamuda Cove, Kuala Langat

Here’s a chance to educate the kids on the importance of biodiversity with a visit to the new Wetlands Arboretum Centre, opening soon. The Wetlands Arboretum Centre (an educational gallery) is part of the 90-acre wetlands arboretum, while a botanical library houses around 3,000 trees, with some 200 new plant species, and are grown for the public to enjoy and observe. The centre opens from 13th August 2023 – and while you’re there, do check out the Jungle School Programme 2.0, Orang Asli Handicrafts or join the Orang Asli Cultural Workshop.

Tip: Plan your visit to coincide with the feeding times of the animals at the wetlands!

Calling all adventure seekers! Here are three new and exciting activities available at the park from 13th August 2023 – come with friends and indulge in a spot of paintball, target shooting, ATV-riding and RUD Karting! Art

1. Rumah Lat Gallery, Batu Gajah, Perak

Malaysia’s legendary cartoonist, Datuk Lat, now has his own gallery in Perak! Situated in the town of Batu Gajah, a mere 30 minutes from his village, the gallery is managed by the Perak Museum Board. Visitors can admire all his artwork in this single-storey gallery building (which also houses a souvenir shop and cafe), and also the uniqueness of the other unit – a replica of a traditional Perak kampung house; the Malay Perak Lima House with five roofs. This kampung house was also the inspiration behind the famous Kampung Boy series, first published in 1979.
