
It’s been more than a year since the release of Disney’s billion-dollar animated blockbuster Frozen and countless covers of “Let It Go”. We understand if you’re sick of Frozen and ready to move on.
The good news is that there will be no shortage of family fun at the movies in 2015. There are plenty of releases planned this year to please moviegoers young or old. From re-imagined classics like Cinderella, to sequels and animated favourites like Minions, there will be a little bit of everything in 2015.
Here are release dates for the biggest family-friendly films to take the kids to see this year:
1. SpongeBob SquarePants: Sponge Out of Water
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob Square Pants! In this movie sequel, SpongeBob goes on a quest to discover a stolen recipe that takes him to our dimension, our world, where he tangles with a pirate.

2. Cinderella
Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter and Lily James join forces in this live-action remake of the classic fairy tale about a servant step-daughter who wins the heart of a prince.
Release Date: March 12
3. Annie
Annie, foster child who lives under the care of a mean stepmother, sees her life change when a business tycoon and New York mayoral candidate takes her in.
Release Date: March 19
4. Home
When Boov, an alien race in search of a new place to call home, take over Earth, a resourceful girl named Tip teams up with an unlikely source to save her loved ones.
Release Date: March 26
5. Dino Time
Three kids accidentally trip an egg-shaped time machine into operation and find themselves back 65 million years in the middle of a nest of dinosaur eggs.
Release Date: May 7
6. Jurassic World
After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created at Jurassic Park to re-spark visitor’s interest, which backfires horribly.
Release Date: June 11
7. Minions
Super-villain Scarlet Overkill, alongside her inventor husband, Herb, recruit minions Stuart, Kevin and Bob to take over the world.
Release Date: June 18
8. Pan
The action adventure follows the story of an orphan who’s spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he discovers his destiny — to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.
Release Date: July 16
9. Inside Out
Featuring an all-star cast of actors (Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, and Mindy Kaling, just to name a few), Pixar’s latest offering goes inside the mind and emotions of Riley, a tween girl who struggles to adjust to a new life in San Francisco.
Release Date: August 20
10. Hotel Transylvania 2
In the sequel, a family get-together brings Dracula’s father Vlad to town — along with some secrets and drama — to visit the estranged son he hasn’t seen in years.
Release Date: September 24
11. The Jungle Book
Benedict Cumberbatch, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray lend their voices to this remake of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale.
Release Date: October 8
12. The Good Dinosaur
Featuring the voice of Neil Patrick Harris, The Good Dinosaur tells the story of Arlo, a 70-foot-tall teenage Apatosaurus, who befriends a young human boy named Spot.
Release Date: November 26
13. Snoopy And Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie
Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle – and flying ace! – embarks upon his greatest mission as he and his team take to the skies to pursue their arch-nemesis, while his best pal Charlie Brown begins his own epic quest back home.
