When school’s out, holidays can only mean one thing for parents: Where are we going to take the kids?
If a fancy vacation is out of the question and the outdoors are a little too hot to handle, fun-loving folks may want to go somewhere that will satisfy every member of the family.
Fully prepped and primed for the school holidays, Sunway Putra Mall has a host of fun activities that will keep children happy and parents stress-free.
Thomas & Friends Adventures (18 Aug- 3 Sept)
All parents know there is a special sort of joy watching your little one all still and wide-eyed on a kids’ train ride. Everyone’s favourite blue train, Thomas the Tank Engine, will be thrilling kids at the Sunway Putra Mall till September 3rd. In a school holiday campaign called Thomas & Friends Adventures, children will enjoy free entrance to the playland, as well as hop on a cool train ride.
Parents can also relax while their children have fun participating in activities which may win them great prizes like all new engines and train tracks. There is the Build Your Track Challenge, a colouring contest, and a Thomas & Friends Trivia, so kids have ample opportunities at winning something.
Children can also have a blast at an obstacle course at the Sea of Adventure and challenge themselves to ‘Reach for the Stars’ in space, both located within the playland.
The Parenthood Playland
Nothing feels better than achieving several goals without your children melting down. At the Parenthood Playland, billed as ‘Malaysia’s very first London Street Park’, this area serves as a one-stop parenting hub. There are edutainment and leisure activities for the entire family, so parents can shop for essentials, get a hot cuppa or even get a haircut while their tots burn off some energy at the indoor playground.
Funscape by Cobay
If your children are still at all-systems-go after all that activity, fear not! Sunway Putra still has an ace up its sleeve with Funscape by Cobay, a new arcade centre that looks like a full-on fun fair in the mall.
Here you can let your children enjoy themselves with helicopter rides and interactive arcade games. Challenge them to a few games yourselves for some good old family fun.
Free Balloon Sculpture and Cotton Candy
Families at Sunway Putra Mall can also issue a fun task to children – spot the clowns and Cotton Candy lady! From now until September 3rd, these characters will be walking around the mall handing out free balloon sculptures and cotton candy to kids.
A day of fun filled activities and balloons and sweet treats? Make no mistake, you’ll be super mums and dads to your little ones for sure. And all just by going to the mall!
