One topic that has deeply resonated with me is the shifting identity of a mother—how we navigate the space between who we were before motherhood and who we are becoming. It’s that in-between place where you’re learning to care for a new life while also trying to remember your own. I’m especially drawn to conversations about rediscovering passions, redefining purpose, and reclaiming parts of ourselves that often get quietly tucked away in the chaos of diapers, feedings, and endless “to-dos.”
Motherhood isn’t just about raising a child. It’s also about raising a new version of yourself. And that transformation is worth talking about.

Keep doing what you do, just keep evolving with us. Parenting is becoming more layered, more open to conversations we didn’t dare have a generation ago.
Makchic is already a treasured part of my parenting toolkit, but if I could wave a wand, I’d love to see:
– A podcast featuring local parent voices, maybe alternating between expert interviews and “real mum/dad diaries”
– A dedicated section for tweens and teens, which is currently a bit under-represented in parenting media
– An annual “makchic Changemaker Parent Award” to spotlight mums and dads making quiet but powerful impacts in their communities
– More dad-centered content that speaks directly to modern fatherhood in Malaysia – respectful, emotionally present, and collaborative parenting deserves a platform!

- By entering this survey, an entrant is indicating her/his agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- makchic retains the unlimited right to use the responses of the survey for commercial and non-commercial purposes which include editorial, website, and social media usage at no cost. The entrant will be credited.
- The competition in this survey is open to residents of Malaysia aged 18 years or over, except for employees of makchic and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition. No cash alternative prizes will be offered.
- The giveaway will be on makchic’s Instagram and Facebook platforms.
