5 Must-Sees at Legoland Malaysia’s Star Wars Miniland

Good news for all you Star Wars and Lego fans, the two have joined forces again to bring in a Miniland Model Display, the first of its kind in Asia!

The display is fully indoors and air-conditioned in Legoland Malaysia Resort, Johor and hosts 2,000 Lego models depicting your favourite scenes from the iconic franchise. Fun fact: a total of 1.5 million Lego bricks were used to complete the entire display!

This is a definite must-see for all Star Wars fans, both young and old. We were fortunate enough to have a sneak-peek of the Miniland display so here are the top 5 things to look out for:

1. The Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker showdown

The animated scene depicts the one-time comrades in the intense lightsaber duel on Mustafar. This scene is the last we see of Anakin Skywalker before he was maimed and became Darth Vader.

2. The Millenium Falcon

Who can forget Han Solo and Chewbacca’s sweet ride? This model is massive and definitely one of our favourites. If you look closely, you can find the duo getting ready for take-off.

3. Cantina on Tattooine

One of the most memorable moments in Star Wars, the Cantina on Tattooine. In the movie, the scene was filled with colourful characters, mostly all of them non-human. The model did that justice by being very detailed with the pieces and not forgetting the Cantina band which can be heard as well.

4. The Rebels on Hoth

Here the Rebels take refuge on icy planet of Hoth. This scene features snowspeeders and Luke Skywalker’s X-wing starfighter. If you look closely, you can spot Luke, Han Solo and Princess Leia!

5. Find Darth Vader

We saved the best for last. There is only one Darth Vader in the whole Miniland. We’re not going to spoil it for you by giving away where he is. Use your jedi powers to seek him. May the Force be with you!

The Lego Star Wars Miniland Display will be open to the public from 6 September and onwards. A one-day admission to Legoland (theme park only) costs RM140 for adults and RM110 for children aged 3-11 years and senior citizens. Children below 3 years have free admission. Visit Legoland Resort Malaysia for more info.
