The mid-year school holidays are upon us. If you’re looking for some fun things to do for your toddlers, look no further than our list of activities.

1. The School Holiday Programme

Spanning four days, the short courses by The School in Jaya One are designed for kids to be immersed in science, technology, music, body movement, languages, arts and crafts, and more. Expect to experience a myriad of lessons at Learning Fresh, Academy of Rock, The Children’s House, Beebop Circus, Cross Muay Thai, Roboticist, and more.

2.  Storytelling Session & Doodling Workshop at The Cooler Lumpur Festival

The third installment of KL’s literary festival promises another year of thought-provoking events, as well as fun activities for kids. Let little imaginations take flight with a storytelling session by Roving Books‘ Anne Ooi, and a doodling and comic-drawing workshop by graphic novel illustrator Arif Rafhan Othman.

3. The Ugly Duckling (Children’s Puppet Theatre)

GOOD NEWS ARTSPACE will be presenting a live puppet show of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic The Ugly Duckling at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre this June. Teased and ridiculed on the farmyard, the duckling runs away and meets a host of colorful characters and eventually discovers that he is not a duckling at all.

4. Intensive Creative Arts Programme by The Actors Studio

If your kids love all thing theatre-related, why not sign up for this workshop by Kimmy Kiew? The 1-week programme consists of a series of fun-filled, exploratory, theatre-based activities and games aimed to develop the participants’ self-expression and creativity. Lessons will include drama, singing, dance, and arts and crafts.

When: 1 – 5 June or 8 – 12 June
