Meet Akhtar, an autistic boy who’s been expressing himself through sketches since he was 9 years old. His special talent was discovered by Zuairiyah of NASOM; she compiled Akhtar’s work and pitched the idea to to Jean Yeap, Managing Director of Katrin BJ Sdn Bhd. They then worked with La Gourmet and Katrin BJ Sdn Bhd to create the ‘Art Speaks For Me by Akhtar’, which is a collection of lunchboxes, tiffin carriers, thermal food jars, and water bottles.
For every purchase, Katrin BJ Sdn Bhd will donate 10% to the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM); a portion from this donation will then go to NASOM’s Skill Development Fund to enhance the skills of their autistic children and help them with future employment.
