Music: MPO Family Fun Day: Let’s build a band!
MPO family days are a great way to introduce kids to classical music and the little ones are impressed just seeing a real orchestra for the first time. These days are suitable for kids aged 4 and up. Remember there is a dress code at MPO: no shorts, flip-flops, etc. This month percussionist and presenter Kevin Hathway of the Philharmonia Orchestra teaches the audience how to build a band with the aid of pieces from popular repertoire.

Children’s Music Concert 2018
A new programme series by The Play Haus, Children Music Concert, introduces children to classical music. Movies to Cartoons presents soundtracks from fantasy films and animations with the help of Gigi, a witch who lives in a magical world. Performers from National Symphony Orchestra Wind Ensemble.
The Embassy of Spain in Malaysia and Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC) present a flamenco show for kids by the Anabel Veloso Flamenco Company. A great opportunity for children to experience the traditional Spanish art of flamenco.

Cirque de la Symphonie brings the magic of cirque to the concert hall at MPO. International cirque artists perform to classical masterpieces and popular contemporary music. MPO age limits and dress code apply.

The Art Discovery Tours for young visitors are a great way to introduce art to kids. They get to do an interactive tour and art activities related to the theme. With the current exhibition, kids learn about the daily life and realities of living in the Patani region in Thailand. Check the dates for tours for different age groups here.

Family Nocturnal Walk is back! Discover and experience FRIM forest at night. New in KL: 99 Wonderland Park
99 Wonderland Park is now open! A 23-acre area around a lake near Batu Caves has been turned into a park, that is open in the evenings, from 5pm to 10pm. There are different stops, for example , a bird island with different birds, duck lagoon, deer yard and exotic animal enclave – naturally providing lots of photo opportunities!
