This November, nip boredom in the bud with these fun-filled family activities all around Klang Valley.

1. Right to Play: makchic x LinDees Children’s Day PlayDate

In celebration of United Nation’s World Children’s Day, makchic and LinDees are assembling a stellar cast of experts for a very special PlayDate, to explain the science behind play and brain development, forms of play which can assist children to process their feelings, using body gestures for pre-verbal connections, and how to empower child-led play. Parents will learn easy and practical age-appropriate play ideas and strategies, and how to set up enriching play spaces at home. Click here for updates and here for tickets.

2. BSC Seek & Keep Artisan Market

Come dressed up in spooky costumes and join a haunted treasure hunt around Bangsar Shopping Centre. Keep a lookout for deals and treats from their Seek & Keep Artisan Market. There will also be plenty of activities throughout the 3-day event. This includes a Halloween Costume Parade & Contest, Street Magician & Balloonist Walkabout, Comedic Juggling Duo, Slime Making and Clay Making Workshop. 3. Family and Friends Spooky Fun Festival

KidZania presents an adults-only event where it transforms the City into five haunted areas for you to conquer.  Solve a murder mystery, go through a tunnel of ‘eyes’, escape from being purged, search through an apartment and try not to get caught by a clown! 4. KLESF The Fair 2019

The Kuala Lumpur Engineering Science Fair (KLESF) promotes interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) among primary and secondary school students from local and international schools. There will be hands-on experiments, workshops, competitions, STEM exhibitions, magic performance as well as mathematics and mental literacy. Admission is free for all, so make your way to MIECC.

5. Making Modern Art with Magnets

Ilham Gallery has another art-science workshop targeted for younger children. They will learn about international and local modern art, and also work on a modern painting using magnets. Children must be accompanied by a parent. For further information, contact email info@ilhamgallery.com

6. Myths And Legends: Interactive Art with Paper Circuits

Ilham Gallery collaborates with science box subscription providers and homegrown Malaysian start-up, Atom and the Dot on another art-science workshop. Get to learn about local myths and legends by making an interactive art using paper circuits. Children below 9 must be accompanied by a parent. The fee includes all materials. 7. Alice in Wonderland at Sunway Velocity

Witness the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and the iconic White Rabbit come to life in the Alice in Wonderland storytelling event by The Storybook. Get tickets for both adults and children here.

8. Batman 80th Anniversary Night Run

Your favourite caped crusader turns 80 this year! Celebrate the Dark Knight by joining the Batman Night Run at Sunway Lagoon. Join in the fun and register for the running event here.

9. Nights of Fright 7 – Fear Lives Here!

Celebrate the Festival of Fear at Sunway Lagoon with 8 haunted houses, 1 haunted theatre, 2 scare zones, 11 thrilling rides, and 2 show stages this November. There are also makeover activities and costume rental for photo-op. This event is certainly not for the faint-hearted! Get your tickets here. 10. Riang-Ria @ Muzium sempena Perayaan Deepavali

Head on to Muzium Negara this November as they celebrate Deepavali. Plenty of activities awaits your whole family which includes cultural shows, performances showcasing Indian classical instruments, traditional Indian cooking and a Kolam making competition. 11. Build Yourself a Robot Model Craft Workshop with Storytelling

The Build a Robot Workshop is a non-digital escape that teaches children woodworking skills in a safe environment. The workshop is conducted around a short storytelling session of “Winnie’s Big Bad Robot” written by author Valerie Thomas and illustrated by Korky Paul. 12. Confident Little Junior Presenters: Space Explorers

This workshop introduces children to the theme of the planet and galaxy via play-based activities and games. They will design their own planet and learn to present to an audience. Witness what your child has learned when they present their planets to parents on Day 2. 13. ibu Family Resource Group: Charity Jumble Sale 2019

ibu Family’s jumble sale is back! Get your hands on pre-loved baby and children’s toys, books, clothes and much more. There will also be activities for your little ones to keep them entertained while you shop (adult supervision necessary). Proceeds from the entry fee will be donated to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary. Register here if you would like to book a table.

14. Battle of the Blades Championship

15. The Way Back Home

PJ Live Arts and Gardner & Wife Theatre present The Way Back Home, a stage adaptation of the book by Oliver Jeffers. The story is a tale of friendship between a Martian and an Earthling which you won’t want to miss. Bring your entire family to witness this show. Book your tickets here.

18. Young Naturalist Camp

Discover the rainforest and learn about plants and wildlife in this Young Naturalist Camp. 19. Mozarts Die Zauberflote – The Magic Flute

Die Zauberflote (The Magic Flute) is a two-act opera by Wolfgang Amadeus to a German libretto by Emanuel Schikaneder. It tells a story of Tamino, a prince undergoing a series of tests accompanied by his sidekick Papageno, to marry the princess Pamina. The performance runs for over two hours with one intermission. 21. School Holiday Art Camp
