Pregnancy Calendar: Week 6

Your baby now measures 4mm (1/8 inch) in length and begins to curve into a C shape. The embryo is still no bigger than the length of a nail head from crown to rump.

At this stage, your baby’s jaw, cheeks, chin, eyes, ears and nose are beginning to form what will eventually become one adorable face. YAY! In addition, your baby’s kidneys, liver and lungs start to develop. The heart starts to bulge and begins to beat in a regular pattern. The heartbeat should beat 80 times a minute (and gets faster every day).
