The tiny human being that’s growing inside you is now about the size of your palm, weighs about five ounces, and is developing some body fat (welcome to the club, bubs!).
Your baby’s brain is now regulating her heartbeat to beat 140 to 150 times per minute — about twice as fast as yours, mum! You may not feel it but your baby is practicing skills such as sucking and swallowing.
- Stretch marks
- Occasional faintness or dizziness

- Heartburn or indigestion
- Increasing appetite
- Put a humidifier in the room and use nasal strips on your nose or try sleeping on couple of pillows to keep your head elevated.
- Look for a pediatrician who shares your views on breastfeeding and immunisations. Ask your friends and family for referrals.

Whip up your own belly butter by mixing ¼ cup of cocoa butter, 1 tsp of light sesame oil, 1 tsp of shea butter and 1 tsp of vitamin E oil in a pot over low heat. Pour into a clean container and gently smooth over swollen tummy once or twice per day.
