Food delivery services in Malaysia

Hey mamas, if all the cooking and cleaning is getting too much for you, please just order in – and don’t feel bad about it!

We are indeed fortunate that even with the Movement Control Order (MCO) in place, we are still able to enjoy our favourite foods. And even better when it gets delivered right to our doorstep, in just a few clicks.

In addition to the popular Grab Food and Food Panda, here are some other food delivery services that you can try out.

1. dahmakan

One of the pioneers in meal delivery services, dahmakan sources fresh ingredients from local suppliers and have their culinary wizards cook wholesome and healthy meals to be delivered to you. Their menu consists of Chinese, Malay, Indian, Japanese and Thai dishes and you can also choose combos with your favourite boba tea from Tealive.

2. Hungry

Hungry is a food delivery service under the Presto Universe multi-service lifestyle app. It has over 12,000 registered merchants nationwide ranging from local, Western and Asian food.  Besides food delivery, you can also pay bills and shop online all under one app. Don’t forget to check out the Grabbit game while waiting for your food to arrive!

3. PichaEats

PichatEats offers delicious delicacies prepared by those who are seeking refuge in Malaysia. We love that their meals are not only filling our bellies but also rebuilding lives of others. They adhere to strict MOH guidelines and ensures that all meals are prepared in a sanitised environment.

4. DeliverEat

Founded by foodies from the Pearl of the Orient, DeliverEats is the first food delivery service in Penang. They have now ventured to Kuala Lumpur and Selangor and have over 1, 500 restaurants you can order from. The minimum order per outlet is RM 25.00, but you can enjoy lower minimum order at RM15.00 during peak period.

5. Meals in Minutes

Even if your kitchen skills are basic, Meals in Minutes can make you look like a professional chef. Healthy, Halal-certified ingredients are portioned, prepped and packaged, and delivered right to your doorstep. All you need to do is boil it or pop it in the microwave and it’s ready to be served. The packets have a one-year freezer shelf life so you can always enjoy it post MCO.

6. RunningMan

They claim to be the most affordable food delivery service in Malaysia. With a delivery fee which starts from RM1 and no minimum order, we certainly believe so! If you need to, you can get the men from RunningMan to do your grocery runs too.

7. Bungkusit

On top of getting food delivered to you, their Roadies can also pick up dry groceries and over the counter medicine for you. Bungkusit guarantees a 60 minute delivery time if your location is below 20km radius from the delivery point.

8. The Naked Lunchbox

We were told that The Naked Lunchbox is the best option to go for if you are vegan, vegetarian or on a gluten/dairy-free diet. Their chef-crafted meals are made from fresh ingredients and they don’t use MSG, artificial preservatives and sweeteners.

9. Lalamove

Lalamove is a courier delivery company that also does food delivery in proper insulated bags. You can get them to deliver from any restaurant or food stall of your liking.

10. Epic Food Hall

Malaysia’s first and only halal-certified chain of online food halls, Epic Food Hall currently houses six brands of online restaurants, namely Epic Fit Meals Co., Pak Adam’s Nasi Lemak, New York’s Patty & Toast and Warong Panda. You have the option to order from more than one of their restaurants in a single receipt.

11. Shogun2u

If this Movement Control Order is making you miss Japanese food, get Shogun2u to deliver it to you. They currently deliver to Klang Valley only and minimum order is set at RM30.

12. Cooking Good

New to the game but old-timers in cooking, Cooking Good is on a mission to bring authentic homemade food right to your doorstep. They also have a 10-day meal option if you don’t want to stress about what to eat everyday.

13. GoGet

The trained guys from GoGet can help you run all sorts of errands including food delivery and grocery shopping. Check them out if you need a helping hand.
